Procedure for Notification of Copyright Infringement

D4U Video Downloader respects the intellectual property rights of others and adheres to the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512, "DMCA") and corresponding international copyright directives.

1. Clarification: We Do Not Host Content

Important Technical Distinction: D4U Video Downloader does not host, upload, duplicate, or maintain any video files on our servers. All video downloads are streamed directly between public third-party content delivery networks (such as Meta's CDN) and the user's personal client device.

Because the content is not hosted on our servers, we have no technical ability to delete the original source video from the internet. If you are a copyright owner seeking removal of the video at its root source, you must contact the platform hosting the file (e.g., Facebook or Instagram) directly.

2. Blocking Specific URLs on D4U

However, to assist rights holders, we can promptly configure our system to blacklist and refuse to parse specific public URLs upon receipt of a valid DMCA takedown request.

3. Required Information for DMCA Notice

To submit a valid notice of claimed infringement, please provide our Designated Agent with a written communication containing the following details:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyrighted work.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list of such works.
  3. Identification of the material to be disabled, including the exact URL(s) on Facebook or Instagram that you wish to block from our converter.
  4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and valid email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
